Sources shared with recruiting sites that Jalen Hurd, a former Tennessee running back, is set to visit Ohio State this weekend.
Although Hurd intends to transfer from Tennessee in October, he is eligible for the draft and rumors are being thrown around that he may go pro. However, Hurd did not make the list of draft-eligible underclassmen. Hurd, who is 6 feet 4 inches and 240 pounds, did mention that he is open to playing wide receiver or tight end at his next school. However, his future position would depend on the offensive lineup at that school.
During recruitment, Hurd was ranked in the Class of 2014 as Number 40 in the country. While playing as a Volunteer at Tennessee for three seasons, Hurd amassed 20 touchdowns via 589 carries and 2,635 yards in 33 games. In addition, Hurd had six scores and 67 receptions from 492 yards. This past season, he played in seven games before deciding to leave the program.
