Kaleb Wesson is Declared Mr Ohio Basketball by the Associated Press
Westerville South product and Ohio State recruit Kaleb Wesson was pronounced Mr. Ohio Basketball by the Associated Press on Wednesday.
Wesson enjoyed a successful career in high school basketball during his four year stint at Westerville South. He was declared the Ohio District 10, Central District and Capital Conference Player of the Season and was awarded the Gatorade Ohio annual prize on Tuesday.
The next day, Wesson - who signed for Ohio State in 2017, was pronounced Mr. Ohio Basketball by the Associated Press. This was decided by a panel of media experts throughout the state.
Once Wesson starts working with the Buckeyes, he will play with someone he is extremely familiar with. Andre, his older sibling, just finished his freshman season with Scarlet and Gray. The brothers played a few seasons together in 2016 for Westerville South - where they won the Division one state title.
