Small Beginnings
Jayvon has shown natural talent for football since he was little. His parents recall how he would spend hours in their backyard, imitating the moves made by his favorite players. "He was always out there, rain or shine,” said his mother while smiling. "We knew he had something special."

There is a rich past behind Buckeyes with an ardent fan community; thus far Jayvon has always wanted to dress in the scarlet and gray colors.
"I've always admired Ohio State," Jayvon admits. "The program, the fans, the atmosphere – it's something special. Playing there would be a dream come true."
His interest in Ohio State isn't just about football, though. Jayvon is also focused on his education and sees Ohio State as a place where he can excel both on and off the field. "They have great academic programs, and I want to make sure I'm setting myself up for success in the future," he explains.
Other Schools in the Mix
Although Ohio State is among leading competitors, Jayvon is additionally considering various other prestigious programs.
- Colorado: This state is famous for its breathtaking campus and a robust football tradition; thus, Colorado provides an extraordinary combination of athletics and academics. The facilities and coaching staff did impress Jayvon who has been to Boulder before.
- South Carolina: South Carolina is appealing because it has many devoted fans as well as a tough SEC schedule. The fact that they look out for each other within their community makes it easier for players to develop.
- Maryland: On the East Coast, there’s Maryland – which boasts solid educational institutions coupled with supportive sporting environments for students who want to secure their degree while still playing sports at the same time.
