Ohio State transfer running back Quinshon Judkins recently underwent surgery on his hand. While the exact details of the procedure remain private, the good news is that the healing process is not as lengthy as originally feared, and he will most likely be cleared for training and later games within the ideal timeframe.
A Setback That Doesn't Stop the Show
Hearing about injuries is never pleasant, particularly when one of our favorite players is affected. Let's maintain perspective, though. Judkins' season won't be derailed by this tiny setback. He is a resilient young man who has repeatedly shown that he can overcome hardship.
The Path Back to Recovery
Different types of hand injuries need varying amounts of time to heal. However, Judkins appears to be in good hands (pun intended) with the Ohio State medical personnel, based on what we currently know. They will do every effort to restore him to full strength as soon as feasible.
In the meanwhile, who is stepping up?
Other running backs on the squad will probably carry the ball more often while Judkins is sidelined. There will be an opportunity for guys like TreVeyon Henderson and James Peoples to demonstrate their abilities. They have a fantastic chance to step up and help the team succeed.
