James Louis Gives Verbal Commitment to Ohio State

James Louis out of Delray Beach, Florida has verbally committed to play
football for Jim Tressel and the Ohio State Buckeyes. With interest
from Florida, Florida State, Alabama, LSU, and Georgia, he made his
final choice to play in Columbus.

By Marlene Gundlach

Originally it looked as if he was leaning towards playing for Urban
Meyer and the Gators, but after being unable to attend a camp at
Florida, Louis began getting the feeling that he was no longer at the
top of Florida’s recruiting list. He felt a bit snubbed, and eventually
decided he wanted no part of that drama. Even though he has not paid a
visit to OSU’s campus, he says he wants to be a Buckeye. Apparently,
Louis did not like being a contingency plan for the Florida Gators.

Louis caught 58 passes for 1,101 yards and 12 touchdowns as a
junior, and is a part of the Rivals.com, Rivals250 club. He is rated as
the 31st-best receiver in the country. This is a huge get for the
Buckeyes, since it his rare they can pluck such a talent from the big
boys in SEC country. Here is a video of James Louis if you wish to check him out for yourself.
