#1

JordanHancock

The state of Georgia is a virtual hot-bed for some of the nation's most elite, blue-chip athletes. At North Gwinnett High School in metro Atlanta, resides one of the most sought after prospects in the country. Viewed as a future shut-down corner at the next level, coaches and scouts are fawning over cornerback Jordan Hancock. What are the latest developments regarding the DB?

North Gwinnett Bulldogs

The North Gwinnett Bulldogs are in the highest classified grouping of high schools in the state of Georgia (7-A). Although there is so much talent and competition in Gwinnett County, North Gwinnett won the 2017 State Championship for the class AAAAAAA during Jordan Hancock's freshman year. The Bulldogs season ended last year in the semifinals when they fell to the 9th seeded Lowndes.

Jordan Hancock Ranking

Listed as 6'0" and 170 lbs., Jordan Hancock is ranked as the 5th ranked cornerback and 45th ranked player nationally for 2021 class. He is also viewed as the 9th ranked player in the state of Georgia according to 247sports.com. Hancock has great instincts and is versatile enough to play multiple spots in the secondary. Many recruiters expect him to develop into an early-round NFL draft pick.

Jordan Hancock Visits

Jordan's calendar has been booked with activities relating to his recruiting process up until recently. Most recently he was offered a scholarship by the Arkansas Razorbacks on February 19, 2020. The star defender attended Alabama's Jr. Day in Tuscaloosa, Al on February 1. A couple of days before, he had a coaches visit with Ohio State. Head coach Ryan Day, and coordinators Kerry Coombs and Al Washington had a sit down with Hancock.

Scholarship Offers for Jordan Hancock

The native of Suwanee, GA has a laundry list of suitors. The following programs have already offered him a scholarship; Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, Appalachian State, Arkansas, Auburn, Colorado, East Carolina, Florida, FSU, Georgia State, Georgia Tech, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisville, LSU, Maryland, Miami, Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Mississippi State, NC State, Nebraska, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Oregon, Penn State, Pitt, Purdue, Rutgers, South Carolina, Syracuse, Tennessee, Texas, UCF, USC, Utah, Vanderbilt, and Virginia Tech.

Chrystal Ball

Jordan Hancock has an official visit to Ohio State coming up scheduled for late June. 247sports.com has Ohio State listed as a 100% lock to sign him in their crystal ball predictions. The NCAA has reached it's annual recruiting dead-period, and Hancock does not have any other official visits scheduled. It appears to be a mere formality that Jordan Hancock will be a Buckeye when 2021 rolls around. Jeremy Birmingham hosted Hancock on his Birminology podcast for Lettermen Row this past Monday for an interview.

"One of the things that stands out with you on tape is your technique at corner is a little bit advanced for someone your age. Where do you get that from? Does it come naturally or what? " Birmingham asked.
"I get it from my trainer Tim Jennings. He played in the NFL a lot of years and was a pro bowler. He also played for UGA so I get it from him because he is a smaller guy, so he put all of these nuances in it since I am a larger corner. So, that's who I get it from." Hancock explained.
"I was checking some things out, and noticed that 247sports had you listed as a safety in the early going. Why do you feel like your best suited to be on the outside and on an island?" Birmingham questioned.
"Because of my athleticism. Mainly because I am a longer corner and can play the jump ball really well.""What values are you looking for in a program that are most important to you?" The podcast host asked.
"Having a strong relationship with the coach I play for. The ability to be on the same page and make a connection in a short period of time. It's important that me and the coach can click on a different level." Hancock declared.
