Oklahoma graduate transfer Running Back Trey Sermon

Ohio State continues to win in recruiting even with face-to-face recruiting suspended. Trey Sermon came out on social media to state he is joining the Buckeyes in 2020. Sermon is a 6’0″ 215 lbs. running back. Since Sermon is a graduate transfer he is eligible immediately as the Buckeyes reload last success last year.

Sermon was not able to visit Columbus before his decision due to Covid 19 restrictions. Sermon wants to enroll in May in Columbus. He will have a bachelors in Human Resources from Oklahoma when he arrives.

Head Coach Ryan Day was active in the NCAA transfer portal this off-season looking for a running back as both scholarship running backs from last season, Marcus Crowley and Master Teague III, were injured during Spring camp. Teague is reported to have a season ending Achilles injury. Steele Chambers was the only healthy option at tailback for Ohio State this Spring. Another option, Miyan Williams arrives over the Summer from Winton Woods Cincinnati.
